Our library features thousands of images showcasing unique plant and animal species from around the world.

Personal Use – Free for Everyone
Members of the public are welcome to download images for personal enjoyment at no cost. You do not need permission to use the photos for personal projects.

What you can do:

• Share: Show the photographs to others or give them copies.
• Use: Include them in school projects, personal art, or other non-commercial activities. Attribution is not required for personal use.

What you can’t do:

• Sell: You may not sell the photographs or include them in products for sale, such as books, posters, or merchandise.
• Use or manipulation by AI is strictly prohibited. 

Use by Nonprofits and Educational Institutions
We proudly offer free access to our image collection for nonprofit organizations and educational institutions. The collection highlights the rich diversity of life on Earth, capturing thousands of species in their natural environments.

You may use these photographs in a wide range of materials, including:

• Educational resources
• Fundraising campaigns
• Outreach and marketing efforts

We believe that by sharing the beauty of nature, we can foster greater awareness and inspire environmental stewardship. We're committed to supporting organizations that share our passion for protecting the natural world.

Educational institutions may request a complete set of the photo library as a digital download or on a physical memory stick. This allows teachers, librarians, and educators to easily access and use the images offline for classroom instruction, presentations, and other educational activities. However, the full collection may not be redistributed, uploaded to public websites, or shared outside the institution. Individual photos may be shared with students, included in lesson materials, or embedded in presentations, provided attribution is included.

Desktop or Laptop Computer

Right-click on the image and select where you want to save it. If right-click does not work, drag and drop the image to your desktop.  Most photos have very good resolution. You can also take a screenshot, but it usually has a lower resolution than the actual file.

Smartphone or Tablet

If you use a smartphone or tablet, press and hold the image on your screen and save it to your photos. You can also take a screenshot, but it usually has a lower resolution than the actual file.

If you are unable to download an image or would like a higher resolution photo, please email us at exploringbiodiversity.org@gmail.com, and we will send you a digital file.
